Alert Systems
In an ongoing
effort to meet the requests of OptionVue 5 users around the
world, extensive alert functions were added to OptionVue 5
in version 1.60. OptionVue 5 now has the ability to provide
user-defined alerts for the following items:
- Underlying
Price
- Underlying
Volume
- Position
Price
- Position
Value
- Position
Gain/Loss
- Position
Delta
When the
alert has been triggered, the user can be notified by:
- On-screen
pop-up message
- Audio
sound
- E-Mail
(can also be received by text messaging phone/pager)
Manage your
alerts form one easy screen. View all defined alerts and their
properties, suspend, cancel or even change their status.
Setting and
managing alerts is a very simple process, too. Just open the
Alert Properties window and designate the criteria for the
alert and how often OptionVue 5 should check for the condition
being met.
Hover over Alert Types to view each
properties window
Then
designate the type of action desired choosing from a pop-up
message to be displayed, sound to be played or an e-mail sent
to a desired address. Some text messaging phones/pagers can
receive emails so you can even be notified when
you are away from your computer!
